A team of Slovakian and Romanian orthopterists has made an analysis of the rich fauna of the Romanian Carpathians. In 2013 they visited 24 localities, and found 71 species. This included nine Carpathian endemics, like Pseudopodisma transilvanica, Isophya sicula and Zubovskya banatica . The Orthoptera assemblages were analysed with detrended correspondence analysis.
